1) Chalets at Pasir Ris,
2) Blk 85 Bedok Market food [even for this, I am kinda unwilling], and….
3) Book sales at Expo!
They now have more mangas and graphic novels for sale! No Sandman series in sight though..

Books were going for as low as $3 and the hard-covers were at $8 each. Whee!
I remember how the lot of us from the SADeaf used to gather happily at booksales in small groups. It was like a military execution; once a person received news of a booksale, he/she will send a brief email to the rest of us. We will then swiftly contact one another to meet at Expo for our dose of retail therapy.
They used to pack books in boxes which were not propped up by stands but placed on the ground. We will kick our fast-filling boxes around, all the time bending our backs and craning our necks in search of good titles. Oh! Those days of backaches and stiff necks!
I got only 8 books this time [as opposed to previous 30 + books at one go]. I must be losing my touch. But.. I’m a happy girl.
