11 Minutes

and then I’m off to sleep, hopefully.

It is probably a combination of everything [work, stress, obligations, time, exhaustion yadda yadda], and I’m writing this off the top of my head in the heat of feelings and emotions of Now.

I never wanted to be in this. Some of them knew, because I told them to put me only in the other group where my love is. I didn’t want to be in this, because 1) I can’t dance for nuts, 2) I weren’t sure if I could commit the time AND effort, 3) and all these would be unfair to others. But I agreed because “we need people” and “we have worked with you guys in the past” and I thought it was only one song - that first short one.

Seems like I’ve bitten off more than I can chew.

Hiding under the cap which isn’t mine but brought me some solace - it was to control those waves of helpless frustrations, but I doubt it worked much because I displayed so much attitude and I AM SORRY for that. *self-hate*

I couldn’t follow I couldn’t remember; my mind was just.. blank. I have no time [yes, Hina will scold me for that I think] to practice at home. The mind is willing [when functioning], but the body is not. Like wth.

Really feel like quitting it, but that would be irresponsible and unfair.

This is the first time, in 8 years, that vol. work is making me resentful and I hate how that feels.

Goodbye Ross! Take care Down Under!

One side - I don’t know what he was trying to do.

The other side - Sister E was trying to smack Sister A and my faces, so we restrained her.

Cannot really recall how this came about. Laughs. Taurus and Alvie stared at us when we were whispering to each other and we decided to take our secrets to another level??

Wait.

Cam-whoring so much but where was the star of the night??

He was at the ice-cream counter, happily creating his very own ‘Swensen’s Special’. :P

Sorry I couldn’t make it to the airport, will visit you some time in the future!

Personal Revelations

s t a r m | s t March 9th, 2008

It’s been such a long time since I have involved myself in volunteer work, and watching last night’s concert made me realise just how much I miss it.

Though it was not as grand and complex as the two a nation in concerts, the show moved my heart nonetheless, on several levels, unexpectedly.

Some special mentions:

1) MINDS Taiko Drum Troupe

pure 1

They opened the show with a spellbinding drumming performance [which I have seen before somewhere.. company's Dinner & Dance? ANIC?], settling everyone down for the show ahead. Halfway through the performance, one kiddo forgot his solo and his mates got naturally confused and unsure as to how to continue playing. As we, the audience, watched from our seats, the other performers became increasingly frustrated with the kiddo, with some shouting at him [to try giving him his cue] and others displaying crestfallen expressions. Somewhere about, someone started clapping encouragingly, and it was not long before the entire hall burst into loud applause for them. The show must go on, and the show did go on.

No Excuses Run

Hope

s t a r m | s t April 16th, 2007

Would you lose your hair to give a little hope to children with cancer?

Children with cancer suffer hair loss during chemotherapy in their fight against the illness. We may not understand their ordeal but we can support them in their battle against cancer. From a humble beginning in 2003 where 9 volunteers shaved bald to raise funds and awareness for these children, this number grew to 896 shavees last year, comprising men, ladies, children and toddlers.

This year, Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) would like to invite you once again to join us in this meaningful cause. With every head shaven, we hope to foster greater understanding and celebrate the courage of these children. If you feel that your company/club/school is willing to participate in Hair for Hope as a satellite event (meaning that we conduct the group hair shaving session at your premises), please contact us at hfh@ccf.org.sg or 6835 6473 by 22 May 2007.

To find out more about Hair for Hope and what it involves, please visit our FAQ section at http://www.ccf.org.sg/hfh/faq.php.

Hair for Hope will be held at Velocity@Novena Square on 1 July 2007. All interested participants can register online at www.ccf.org.sg/hfh from early May and will also be required attend a briefing session on 20 June, 7.30pm.
