This is what happens when you do not bring your car for maintenance.
Just in!
A red BMW caught on fire less than 10 metres away from my workplace 15 minutes ago. Driver was nowhere to be seen ["he has zao already of course!" said my boss], the stench of the burning car was almost unbearable, and traffic slowed down to a crawl [it occurred near a busy cross-junction].

The car number plate is something something something 91S. GO BUY [Singaporeans will know what I'm talking about].

Haze, smoke, smell, cough cough cough.

The policeman nearest to the car was trying approach it when it let out a series of small but dangerous-sounding explosions.

Here comes the calvary. It took 6 people to pry open the bonnet.
When I ran down to the first floor with my phone camera, boss was laughing, “What!? You even brought your hp to take pictures!” Ahem. Bloggers, you know. *shake head at myself* But I wasn’t the only one snapping photos, everyone else was.

What was left hours after.
