Pure

Last Thursday, I ‘dragged’ KK to Prive for the official launch of Dominic’s charity coffee table book titled ‘Pure’.

Inspired by his late, altruistic mother, Dom decided to honour her memory by putting his energy [and talent, if I may add] into a project he feel would capture the real spirit of charity, and thus the idea of Pure was born.

Pure is a 50-page coffee table-sized photography book featuring well-known personalities such as Michelle Chia, May & Choy, Jaymee Ong, Utt and Ploy J., Charmaine Harn, Rebecca Tan and Celina Lin, laughing or crying in the nude. The personalities are part of a list of over 20 local and regional individuals who, ignited by Dominic’s passion for the project, have volunteered to bare all in this first-of-its kind coffee-table photography book.

100% of the sale of the books will go towards supporting various organisations such as SCW, Singapore After-Care Association and HOME, to name a few.

The launch was a well-organised and classy affair. There were a crazy number of good-looking people [all the models and celebrities -_-"] and even a crazier amount of alcohol going around. I couldn’t find cousin [as we jokingly call each other] amidst the crowd so KK and I decided to stay out by the sea for a little while before wading back into the place.

At the edge of Prive, and looking extremely tired [which I was].

Some of the photographs on display. Erm. Hope this is allowed!

We finally found Dom later into the night and I only managed to catch a few words with him before having to head off. The night was young and we could eat drink and make merry but we were tired.

About 11 books have since been sold. :) There will be a charity dinner on 27th Feb at Conrad where 4 special book packages will be auctioned off. Tables are still available! Other books are sold here. Do contact me if you are interested!

[This is not some kind of paid advertorial from Dominic, nor do I have any vested interest. He has worked really hard on this and I support and trust his sincerity and intentions, so.] For more information, please visit here.
