Relight My Fire

I decided I do not like stopover flights all that much.

It was a long-anticipated trip back to my favourite place, only it did not start off very well as my flight ticket was confirmed less than 36 hours before and horrors, it was not a direct flight.

flight timing
First flight was delayed, so much for waking up at unearthly hours.

So what does one do with lots of time on hand and nowhere to go? Relax and try not to fall asleep at a cafe with a cup of coffee and a good book. Blog using the free internet service in the lounge area, which cuts off every 15 minutes. Do some foot massage thingie. Take senseless photographs.

At this point in time, I was really bored to tears waiting.

aussie
Cute aussie guy beside me on the plane, who didn’t make it in time for his next flight.

I’d wanted to meet Pawprintz in-between the two flights, but because of the delay for the first, there weren’t enough time. Instead, it was a mad dash from the International airport to the Domestic one. *sigh* And may I say the domestic airport has [almost] nothing. Nothing to do. Nothing do see. Nothing to buy. So, more senseless photo-taking.

The onset of whatever-nameless-sickness was getting to me and the second flight was just… uncomfortable and miserable. Upon arrival, everyone stood up and started throwing on their thickest coats and I was going, erm o-kay.. just how cold is it now?

Hello, 6 degrees celcius.

Isn’t it supposed to be spring??

rydges

After lots of fumbling around [while trying to look/feel confident], I finally gotmyluggagetookacabfoundmyplaceand settled in at Rydges which is directly opposite Paramount where I stayed the previous time. Then I received a message from NZ saying her plane had to make a turn back to Sg cos 2 of the 4 engines were down and that this sucks. the airline sucks. Oh boy.

Welcome to Melbourne.

Less than 4 hours later, starm|st goes back to school.
