Xtomic’s first Hip Hop class today was filled with lots of goof-ups and innuendoes.

Instructor: There are 3 parts to your feet. The toes, the ball, and the heel.

Pretty girl on my left: Where is the ball?

Instructor: Here *showing the bottom of his foot*

Pretty girl on my left [tapping me and lifting one of her foot slightly]: Hey, can you touch my …… *realised her mistake, but was unable to retract her words* balls….? -_-”

We were learning the steps for the first bit of a song, it goes something like this - with 4 pairs of gals and 2 guys, we have to do a model’s walk to the front of the room [in pairs], and then strike a pose. So each time a pair reach the front, there would be a different pose [and each requires different techniques]. The guys come in last and everyone would gather for a dramatic group pose.

“The first time, the girls are a little shy so they want it [the standing position for the legs] closed. The second time, they want it more exposed so it was open. At the third time, they are more experienced so they want it high [some technique]. And then, the guys must do it fast, and then go down! And at the advanced level, ‘everyone will go on top of each other.’”
