A Traumatic Conversation [For Whom?]

It’s all a blur to me.

mrm [unsuspectingly]: …and then we can all countdown together after that.

Me [abruptly, in a shocked tone]: What!! What is the date tomorrow???

mrm [confused]: 31st December?

Me [half-screamed]: What!!!!!!!!!! 31st!!!!!!!!

mrm [taken aback]: Huh.. Why?? You mean you didn’t know?

Me [traumatised, wailing]: I didn’t know the last day of the year is tomorrow!! I thought today’s the 29th!!!

mrm [amused]: Today’s the 30th. So you wanna go?

Me [babbling]: Oh nooooooo…. Couldn’t be mah cos I checked my laptop calendar and it said it is the 29th of December so today must be that and then I thought that logically tomorrow will be the 30th and Sunday the 31st and Monday the 1st I didn’t know that tomorrow is the last day of the year already how could it be so fast I’m not prepared.

mrm: *chuckles at bimbotic-sounding me*

Me [sounding unstable]: Oh no.. oh no. *disbelieving laugh* I can’t believe it. But when I checked the calender.. *trails off* Sorry, I think I’m in no state to make a decision now don’t know what to say still very traumatised about the fact that I’m behind time. *whine* Oh no….

mrm: ….. Err. Okay. …..
