Saturday Night Fever

And so, after the morning terp and afternoon carolling, it was yet another mad rush down to Swissotel [Sweetiepie won a free one night stay there!] to dress up for the company’s Retro Night D&D.

What do three girls do when they are all dressed up and waiting for their transport to arrive? They take funny pictures of course!

Aren’t my two friends absolutely babelicious?

Initially, the costumes were a little over the top, with feathered headgears ala Moulin Rouge and heavy glittery necklaces, so we decided to do away with them. While waiting at the hotel lobby for Prof and QueenLady to come fetch us, all the time trying to be as inconspicuous as possible [which is quite difficult to do so, hello!], a group of foreigners were so fascinated and tickled by our dressing they decided to snap pictures of us. It was only when we became conscious of it that one of them came up to us to take a picture with us. “No, bad idea. Too short.” he muttered comically when he wanted to stand between us and realised he was shorter than all of us, and stood, instead, in front of us.

Kai Kun was a good sport, dressing retroliciously and gamely dancing on stage for a prize. He was so unrecognisable that his previous boss came up to NiceGuy and asked, “Hey, what happened ah? What did you guys do to him?” “It must have been all that intensive research we made him do that affected his brain,” QueenLady replied sassily.

[Why are all my photos turning out so fugly?!? Please refer to Flickr for reality.]

Our table shone cos we had our very own charismatic John Lennon and pretty Olivia Newton-Jones with us. The rest were no less wonderful and the higher management at the table beside ours could not stop taking pictures of all of us. *laughs*

After that memorable night, I think L&T’s image is shot to hell [and nobody would take us seriously ever again].
