Life, Interrupted
Posted on Monday, February 28th, 2005 at 2:56 amIt was a dark and chaotic scene, dipped in shades of red and black. The tension, the anger, the murderous intent hung thickly in the air.
There were lots of shouting and cries for help. People were running after and away from others. She charged after the fleeing girl. Marking her, hunting her down, intending to give her a piece of mind for stealing her friend’s boyfriend. The fury that she felt was unduly strong. And undeserved. Catching up with the girl, she rained insults at her and vowed to have revenge. With a strength she didn’t know she possess, she gave the girl a mighty push which sent the helpless girl tumbling down the stairs into the darkness of the tunnel. And then there was silence. A long, eerie silence. The girl didn’t move to get up from where she was lying. The rain beat down on the earth, unrelenting and harsh. Everything was soaked, nothing was spared. She stared at the scene in front of her, unwilling to believe what she has just done. She was led into a small room, which was surprisingly cosy and fully furnished. There were no windows, only a heavy metal door. As she sat down slowly on the bed, the small click of the lock on the door sounded the permanent death knell for her life.
She hung her head for a very long time.
Dreamt this last night. So scary, right? That a person’s life can be changed just by a single action. :/
