As Dumbo had put it so nicely (ie: bluntly), my blog has died and gone stale. Well, yours truly have been busy mopeing around and pining for Melbourne for a week after returning to the (nightmarishly) sunny island of Spore.
Here’s a little something, memories I have brought back with me…
Melbourne life’s top 15
1) Bread would always be present in one of the meals everyday (and I hate bread!)
2) We ate grapes, grapes and grapes; thanks to JerryQ’s friend. We probably had enough grapes to make 10 bottles of wine.
3) I learned how to cook.
4) I became addicted to Subway cookies.
5) And then there was the delicious $1 pizza.
6) My hands and feet go to sleep once I step out in the cold. (Actually my brain too. It just switches to ‘hibernate’ mode.)
7) I mastered the art of ambling around with a cool air about me, with my hands tucked into the pockets of my coat.
Everywhere is of ‘walkable’ distance. And we do not perspire at all. Even if we run.
9) I wake up to ‘Sweet Valley High’ sitcom every morning before school starts.
10) I return to my apartment only to be welcomed by ‘The Simpsons’ tv relay.
11) ‘Jerry Springer’ (you know, the really trashy show) became an everyday-late-night-show-before-sleep.
13) We finished a bottle of wine/liquor every night.
14) Bubble baths every night. It’s therapeutic!
15) And, how can I ever forget this, I fell in love with Gelato~~

A good read from a forwarded mail:
As I was walking down life’s highway many years ago, I came upon a sign that read ‘Heaven’s Grocery Store’.When I got a little closer the doors swung open wide and I went inside.
I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said “My child, shop with care.”
Everything a human needed was in that grocery store.
And what you could not carry, you could come back for more.
First I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
You need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course,
I would need some of that too.
I couldn’t miss the Holy Ghost,
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength and Courage to help me run this race.
My basket was getting full but I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose Salvation for Salvation was for free
I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me.
Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything to do the Masters will.
As I went up the aisle
I saw Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside I would run into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful, the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise were hanging near so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel
“Now how much do I owe?”
He smiled and said “Just take them everywhere you go.”
Again I asked “Really now, How much do I owe?”
“My child” he said,
“God paid your bill a long long time ago.”
