Bread of Life

World Vision finally sent me the love loaf that I’ve requested for more than a month ago. Figured since I can’t do the expensive child sponsorship programme, nor can I spare the time for an overseas community project at the moment, I shall then contribute by participating in the love loaf programme.

love loaf

A love loaf is actually a plastic coin box shaped like a loaf of bread to symbolise how it can be bread of life for children and families in need. Oh, but it is just a coin box, it’s nothing special, some of you may think/say/feel. But at least the contribution, however small, goes to the fund for providing struggling families and children with necessities. And if doing this speaks comfort to a hurting child, and brings a ray of hope in his despair, then I’m glad I’m doing it, instead of sitting my butt around moaning about how life suxs or how unfair life is.

The people who make a difference are not the ones with the credentials, but the ones with the concern.
